Today I want to talk about Isabel Allende

    She’s a Chilean writer born in 1942 in Peru. I pick her because I love her books, specific how she can transport you to other place far away (make you feel that you are climbing huge mountains or maybe running into the jungle) or how make you travel to other ages.

She’s part of a genre called magical realism where the writers mix magic elements with reality making this mix natural.

Is famous for novels like “The house of the spirits”, “city of the beasts”, even the house of the spirits have a American movie film in 1993 (I don’t like it really cause I thing that Americans stole our Chilean sold, because when I see it I don’t thing on Chile, it’s more like Mexico).

I met her books when one summer on 2006 I decided complete a challenge: Read all the books from my house, when I did it I found like 6 books from her cause my mom love it too.

She won more than 30 awards from different countries on Chile she won the literature prize.

I recommend read her books! 

                

Today I’m going to talk about Frederick Taylor.

He had born in 1990 on Philadelphia, United States. Was a mechanic engineer and economist and he’s the founder of a current of thought on management, called “Scientific Administration”.

This current wants to divide the work and standardized it creating different kinds of workers. These workers have a specific role on industries for being more efficient and controlled. Also wants to appoint some kind of bosses, giving us some important theories about organization. 

Every idea was written in a work published in 1903 called “Shop Management”

I found him at my University because for my studies he’s really significant for the Public Administrators because their ideas are the foundations for the contemporary theories about efficacy, efficiency and effectiveness.

I met Taylor on my second semester of University (last year), in a class called “Organization Theory” and then I have to study him again this year on “Administrator Theory”, I thing that I’m going to study Taylor every year cause his knowledge its crucial for us.

   

GAME OF THRONES (GOT)

When the people told me that I HAVE TO watch this serial, I was a bit curious, then I watch the first season and what can I say about it? WOW… Have a lot of scenes with sex and blood, but have something interesting (In that age I don’t know what was)

I like that have a lot of subjects:  First of all, the serial was set on Medium age with kings, in this case, the seven kingdoms (dominated for just a King from  King's Landing)  but the others kingdoms are fighting for the Iron Throne cause the king it’s really unfair.

This serial has magic too; cause in the north of the wall estranges things happen, the people are threaten by the white Walkers (Some unknown specie of monster), that supposed to be a legend from Winterfell but no, it’s alive and killing people and just a few ones know it. That’s why the House Words of Stark’s are “winter is coming”

The dragons are alive too but not close, but they are going to arrive soon with Khaleesi for the next war.

So take care, winter is coming

This photo was taken when I graduated from High school, who took it? Dusan, He’s my brother in law and shows when the ceremony ends (was on a gymnasium down stairs) all the people went to the first floor and the people congratulate us and wish us good luck on our next step: University.

What it shows? Shows Branko and me, and who’s Branko? He’s my boyfriend since 2010 (Yes! We still together), this photo was really special because as Dusan is really tall he can take a good shoot (shows my family and my best friends in the same photo) and nobody knows that he took it, because my entire classmates was hugging with their family (or friends).

I like it because I think it’s really cute and show an important moment in my life, make me remind how I lived when I was on High School, cause even I want come back to that period, it’s impossible… Everything changes on our lives.

Today I want to talk about traveling

If you have the possibility to travel anywhere, without thinking about if you have enough money or how long will be your adventure, where would you go?

As long as I forget my life (That I have to go to University every day or I have to work tomorrow).I think on Asia, like climbing the Himalayas and meet Buddhist monks. I get this idea from a book named “kingdom of the golden dragon” because when I readed I feel that I was on that place.

Or maybe I thing live in the Caribbean near from the beach and spend my days drying in the sun (and show to the people that I can be tanned), eating a lots of yummy fruits and hearing relaxing music.

Anyway, I really want to travel and meet people with other cultures… For make my dream come true I need speak other languages, because in spade English is really useful, all the people don’t talk English.

My favorite piece of technology it’s my Tablet, think it’s the perfect mix between a notebook and a Smartphone, and I got it since the summer.

I use my tablet for a lot of staff, for example I play a lot of free games from the “play store”, for reading papers from University it’s very useful too because with Adobe Reader I can underline and make notes in the text, I can record my teachers, I can edit photos with other program called “Adobe Photoshop”, I can do everything with this little object.

I use it every day, since I open my eyes (because has an Alarm), until I closed too (Because I read texts for university). If you are thinking that I’m an Addicted, don’t think that cause when I can leave it I get really happy.

I like it because I have a lot of backache and I can’t transport heavy things, or lots of things, so I have to prioritize the things I have to carry and with my tablet I have a lots of objects in just one.

Without my Tablet I thing that I have more backache and I have to start using again my alarm clock, my notebook and I don’t want be without it.

This semester I'm studding 6 subjects: Micro economía, Teoría Administrativa, Teoría de la Ciencia, Derecho Administrativo, Ingles, Estadística aplicada.

For this semester I have troubles for doing extracurricular things for university because my class starts too late and I don’t have much time. I hope the next semester I can join on French cause all my life I wanted to learn that language, and when I know that I can take it here in the university I was really happy.

I’m not part of other things at the University because I prefer waste my time with serials (Remember I’m Addicted to watch a lots of different topics.

For this semester I want have a better score than 2013 because I want to apply for a scholarship and I need good marks

My name is Carolina Salinas Muñoz, I'm 21 years old and I'm from Chile. I've lived all my life in Santiago.

I was born on June 15th 1992. I have an older brother, Camilo, He's 25 years old and he study Medicine in Santiago too. Then I came to the world for bother my brother J anyway he loves me. Ten years later Maite came for give us happiness, she’s our baby.

I studied all my life in different Schools because I changed my address and my parents prefer to move me to a near School. My High School was “Josefino Santisima Trinidad” there I met my best friends and my boyfriend, and then we went to different universities but we still in touch, also in every New Year we share a party.

 I like read a lot, and I’m really addicted to series like “How I met your Mother”, “Grey’s Anatomy”, “Friends”, Game of thrones and others.
